Kimberly A. Holdridge est une dirigeante syndicale de l'International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 631 \u00e0 Orlando, en Floride. En 1993, Kim est devenue secr\u00e9taire financi\u00e8re de la section locale et est rest\u00e9e \u00e0 ce poste pendant deux d\u00e9cennies. En juin 2020, Kim a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue repr\u00e9sentante des entreprises au sein du m\u00eame groupe et vient d'entamer son deuxi\u00e8me mandat dans cette fonction prestigieuse.<\/p>\n

Au cours de sa carri\u00e8re, elle a si\u00e9g\u00e9 au conseil ex\u00e9cutif de l'AFL-CIO de Floride, o\u00f9 elle est actuellement pr\u00e9sidente de la commission des finances et vice-pr\u00e9sidente ex\u00e9cutive de l'AFL-CIO de Floride centrale. En plus des fonctions \u00e9lectives au sein du syndicat local, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9lue par acclamation au poste de secr\u00e9taire\/tr\u00e9sori\u00e8re du district 14 de l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵen 2006, qui repr\u00e9sente des milliers d'artisans du th\u00e9\u00e2tre et du cin\u00e9ma en Floride, \u00e0 Porto Rico et dans les \u00celes Vierges am\u00e9ricaines.<\/p>\n

En 2006, Kimberly a \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie par la communaut\u00e9 GLBTQ de Floride centrale comme mod\u00e8le f\u00e9minin de l'ann\u00e9e et par l'AFL-CIO comme \u00e9toile montante du mouvement syndical. En outre, elle est pr\u00e9sidente du conseil d'administration de l'Association pour la sant\u00e9 mentale de Floride centrale.<\/p>\n

La communaut\u00e9 LGBTQ a beaucoup vu Kim en action. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sidente de l'Orlando Gay Chorus et du Rainbow Democratic Club et a pr\u00e9sid\u00e9 le comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif du parti d\u00e9mocrate du comt\u00e9 d'Orange. Actuellement, elle est fi\u00e8re de si\u00e9ger au comit\u00e9 international de la fiert\u00e9 de l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵet d'\u00eatre secr\u00e9taire du chapitre de la fiert\u00e9 au travail de Floride.<\/p>\n

Kim r\u00e9side au c\u0153ur de la ville d'Orlando avec sa compagne depuis 30 ans, Denise Holdridge, qu'elle a \u00e9pous\u00e9e en 2014 \u00e0 Providence, dans le Rhode Island, avant que le mariage homosexuel ne soit autoris\u00e9 dans l'\u00c9tat de Floride.<\/p>\n

Enfin, Kim a servi dans les forces arm\u00e9es de r\u00e9serve de l'arm\u00e9e de l'air des \u00c9tats-Unis au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1980 en tant que sp\u00e9cialiste en t\u00f4lerie, juste avant l'adoption de la loi \"Don't Ask, Don't Tell\" (ne pas demander, ne pas dire).
