VANCOUVER, BC<\/strong> - <\/strong>Les animateurs de Kickstart Entertainment \u00e0 Vancouver sont devenus le troisi\u00e8me studio d'animation \u00e0 adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 la Guilde de l'animation canadienne, section locale 938 de l'IATSE. Une demande d'accr\u00e9ditation a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9pos\u00e9e aupr\u00e8s du BC Labour Relations Board en d\u00e9cembre de l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re et les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s le 3 janvier 2024.<\/p>\n

Les travailleurs de Kickstart Entertainment sont d\u00e9sormais le troisi\u00e8me studio d'animation au Canada \u00e0 rejoindre l'IATSE, apr\u00e8s WildBrain Animation Studio \u00e0 l'automne 2023 et Titmouse Animation Vancouver en 2021. \"L'\u00e9lan continue de cro\u00eetre \u00e0 mesure que de plus en plus de travailleurs de l'animation se rassemblent pour former des syndicats \u00e0 travers le Canada \", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Jiaming Li, repr\u00e9sentant international de l'IATSE. \"Travailler avec les travailleurs de Kickstart a \u00e9t\u00e9 une source d'inspiration, car ils se sont rassembl\u00e9s pour rejoindre l'IATSE.\"<\/p>\n

Eddy Pedreira, secr\u00e9taire de l'ACG 938, ajoute que cette vague de syndicalisation dans le secteur de l'animation se poursuit : \" \u00c0 mesure que de plus en plus de travailleurs se joignent \u00e0 la Guilde, nous am\u00e9liorons les conditions de travail de l'ensemble de l'industrie. Nous sommes impatients d'accueillir les travailleurs de Kickstart au sein de la Guilde de l'animation canadienne.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s l'obtention de l'accr\u00e9ditation syndicale, les travailleurs de Kickstart vont maintenant entamer le processus d\u00e9mocratique de n\u00e9gociation de leur premi\u00e8re convention collective. \"La n\u00e9gociation de conventions collectives solides est ce que nous faisons le mieux\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le vice-pr\u00e9sident international de l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵet directeur des affaires canadiennes, John Lewis. \"Nous attendons avec impatience un processus de n\u00e9gociation complet avec cette entreprise.<\/p>\n
