Beckman Jr, neuvi\u00e8me vice-pr\u00e9sident de l'AI et agent d'affaires de la section locale 6, a \u00e9t\u00e9 tellement impressionn\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9sentation faite par la WMCF lors de la r\u00e9union du conseil ex\u00e9cutif g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l'AI au milieu de l'\u00e9t\u00e9, \u00e0 San Diego, le 28 juillet, qu'il a soumis la proposition de don aux membres de la section locale, o\u00f9 elle a re\u00e7u un soutien imm\u00e9diat et unanime.<\/p>\n<p>Le WMCF est un programme de formation et de placement professionnel unique en son genre destin\u00e9 aux Marines et aux Navy Corpsmen bless\u00e9s en Irak et en Afghanistan. Il leur permet d'acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences professionnelles nouvelles et commercialisables pour faire carri\u00e8re dans les m\u00e9dias apr\u00e8s leur r\u00e9habilitation. Des cours sur les m\u00e9dias, la r\u00e9alisation de films, la conception sonore, le montage, l'\u00e9criture, le graphisme et le photojournalisme ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dispens\u00e9s par des membres de diverses sections locales de l'IA et des conf\u00e9renciers invit\u00e9s. Dix-neuf \u00e9tudiants ont suivi le cours de dix semaines et ont obtenu leur dipl\u00f4me le 20 mars 2008. Les 19 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 intronis\u00e9s dans l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵlors de la pr\u00e9sentation du 28 juillet, au cours de laquelle ils ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une vid\u00e9o de 8 minutes sur le programme, \u00e9crite, tourn\u00e9e et mont\u00e9e par les \u00e9tudiants.<\/p>\n<p>La pr\u00e9sentation a \u00e9t\u00e9 ovationn\u00e9e par le Conseil ex\u00e9cutif g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, les repr\u00e9sentants internationaux et les nombreux repr\u00e9sentants locaux de l'IA pr\u00e9sents. La pr\u00e9sentation a \u00e9galement marqu\u00e9 les d\u00e9buts de SEMPER FIlms, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de production filiale du FMAC, qui produira des projets documentaires, promotionnels, industriels et commerciaux, y compris la r\u00e9alisation de dossiers de presse \u00e9lectroniques pour les grands films de studio et les programmes de t\u00e9l\u00e9vision.<\/p>\n<p>Les cofondateurs de la FMAC, Kevin Lombard, membre de la section 600 dont le p\u00e8re \u00e9tait un marine de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, et Judith Paixao, ont install\u00e9 le centre de formation de 5 000 m\u00b2 au nord de San Diego, dans les studios Stu Segall.
