Short, pr\u00e9sident international de l'IATSE, a publi\u00e9 la d\u00e9claration suivante :<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\"L'ºìÌÒÊÓƵsoutient pleinement la volont\u00e9 de la Directors Guild d'essayer de remettre l'industrie au travail en annon\u00e7ant qu'elle envisage d'entamer ses propres n\u00e9gociations apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la nouvelle ann\u00e9e. La DGA a choisi de faire quelque chose de tr\u00e8s difficile et je suis s\u00fbr que ceux qui ne veulent pas que la gr\u00e8ve prenne fin vont les attaquer pour cela. Mais m\u00eame si les phrases chocs peuvent faire l'objet d'un bon article de presse, elles ne remplacent pas le type de n\u00e9gociation de bonne foi qui sera n\u00e9cessaire pour mettre fin \u00e0 cette gr\u00e8ve.<\/p>\n<p>\"Pour les membres de l'\u00e9quipe - les milliers de monteurs, directeurs de la photographie, d\u00e9corateurs, costumiers, directeurs artistiques, machinistes et tant d'autres que l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵrepr\u00e9sente - la gr\u00e8ve des sc\u00e9naristes n'est pas une f\u00eate. Chaque jour que dure l'arr\u00eat de travail actuel, il provoque des ravages dans la vie d'environ la moiti\u00e9 des 110 000 membres de l'IATSE, de leurs familles et des autres personnes qui font partie de notre industrie. Le travail est interrompu et les membres de l'ºìÌÒÊÓƵet tant d'autres sont maintenant confront\u00e9s \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de perdre leurs maisons, leurs \u00e9conomies et leurs moyens de subsistance.<\/p>\n<p>\"J'ai dit il y a plusieurs mois que c'\u00e9tait le r\u00e9sultat probable de l'approche de la WGA. La WGA et l'AMPTP doivent maintenant se mettre au travail et conclure un accord \u00e9quitable. Nous esp\u00e9rons que l'annonce de la DGA les incitera \u00e0 le faire.
