North Bethesda, MD<\/strong> -Les n\u00e9gociateurs de la section 868 de l'IATSE, le syndicat des tr\u00e9soriers et des vendeurs de billets, et Strathmore, le centre des arts du spectacle de classe mondiale du Maryland, sont parvenus cette semaine \u00e0 un accord de principe pour un nouveau contrat, mettant fin \u00e0 un conflit rancunier de deux ans entre les vendeurs de billets et les gestionnaires du site du comt\u00e9 de Montgomery.<\/p>

\"Nous esp\u00e9rons qu'avec cet accord, nous pourrons r\u00e9tablir la relation entre Strathmore et les vendeurs de billets\", a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Anne Vantine, directrice commerciale de la section 868 de l'IATSE. \"Les vendeurs de billets, qui assurent le contact avec les clients, g\u00e8rent le syst\u00e8me de billetterie et s'occupent de la billetterie, sont \u00e0 la fois les ambassadeurs et la force de vente de cette institution. Cela a pris beaucoup trop de temps, mais je crois que les dirigeants de Strathmore ont enfin compris que la d\u00e9valorisation de nos membres est pr\u00e9judiciable au succ\u00e8s de Strathmore.\"<\/p>

L'accord de principe pr\u00e9serve les emplois \u00e0 temps plein et \u00e0 temps partiel de la billetterie et pr\u00e9voit des augmentations salariales futures pour tous les employ\u00e9s. Les termes de l'accord de principe seront soumis aux membres pour ratification.<\/p>

Strathmore a renonc\u00e9 \u00e0 un contrat avec son personnel l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Les dirigeants de la salle de concert ont alors cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 supprimer tous les postes \u00e0 temps plein et \u00e0 vider de sa substance le contrat du syndicat, en affirmant qu'ils avaient besoin de \"flexibilit\u00e9\" non seulement pendant la pand\u00e9mie, mais aussi \u00e0 perp\u00e9tuit\u00e9. Les vendeurs de billets ont per\u00e7u cette action comme une tentative de d\u00e9manteler leur syndicat. Le National Labor Relations Board a d\u00e9termin\u00e9 \u00e0 deux reprises que la direction de Strathmore avait n\u00e9goci\u00e9 de mauvaise foi. Le NLRB a constat\u00e9, entre autres infractions, que le PDG et l'avocat de Strathmore faisaient des propositions dans le seul but d'\u00e9viter de conclure un accord avec le syndicat.<\/p>

En r\u00e9ponse, les vendeurs de billets et leurs partisans ont install\u00e9 des banderoles et un rat gonflable devant l'entr\u00e9e de Strathmore avant le d\u00e9but des repr\u00e9sentations l'automne dernier. Les membres du syndicat ont \u00e9galement plac\u00e9 des panneaux de protestation le long de Rockville Pike et ont inform\u00e9 les clients et le grand public des actions du Strathmore. Plus de 5 000 personnes ont sign\u00e9 une p\u00e9tition en ligne demandant \u00e0 Strathmore de traiter ses travailleurs \u00e9quitablement.<\/p>

L'orchestre symphonique de Baltimore, partenaire fondateur et principal locataire de Strathmore, a demand\u00e9 \u00e0 Strathmore de r\u00e9soudre le diff\u00e9rend. Afin de donner aux deux parties la possibilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9gler le diff\u00e9rend, l'orchestre a d\u00e9plac\u00e9 toutes ses repr\u00e9sentations de 2021 du centre musical \u00e0 Baltimore.<\/p>

Les \u00e9lus du comt\u00e9 de Montgomery, dont l'ex\u00e9cutif du comt\u00e9, Marc Elrich, alarm\u00e9s par la perte du BSO et l'atteinte \u00e0 la r\u00e9putation du comt\u00e9, ont us\u00e9 de leur influence pour obtenir la fin du conflit contractuel.
